Kicking off MODA’s Fashion Week is a networking event among students and professionals that aspire to work in the fashion industry or already have experience doing so. It will be a great experience to learn more about what the fashion industry can provide as a career!

Madison Magazine’s Top Shelf Whiskey Taste 2012
Where: Samba Brazilian Grill
Time: 6-9 p.m.

Along with over 30 top shelf whiskeys, food from Samba Brazilian Grill, The Claddagh Irish Pub and Cupcakes-A-Go-Go will be available for attendees.

Street Smart: Blogging for a Stylish World
Where: Memorial Union- Tripp Commons
Time: 6-8 p.m.

Learn more about blogging, social media and fashion journalism from professionals in the industry, including What I Wore’s Jessica Quirk. This will be another great event for those aspiring to work in the fashion or journalism industries.

Friday, March 16

UWFW: The Runway Show
Where: The Sett, Union South
Time: 6 p.m.

Finish off UW-Madison’s first ever fashion week by coming to the fashion show event! There will be food, drinks and a red carpet before the runway show, which begins at 8 p.m. Dress to impress!

2012 Shamrock Shuffle
Time: 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

You can choose to do a 5k, 10k or 2 mile walk to start off St. Patty’s Day this year! The Shuffle goes through downtown Madison and the campus area with staggered starts. After the Shamrock Shuffle, there is a Post Shuffle Party at State Street Brats. Visit the website for more information:

Wear your green and go see the St. Patrick’s Day Parade around Madison’s Capitol Square!
