Union South’s 1st Birthday Celebration

With Union South opening in April 2011, go and celebrate its first birthday with food, music, giveaways and the announcement of the commemorative items chosen for the Time Capsule!

Wisconsin Film Festival
Wednesday, April 18- Sunday, April 22
The 14th Annual Wisconsin Film Festival, presented by the Universtiy of Wisconsin Arts Institute, brings a variety of unique films to Madison! Check out the website for film listings and times.

UW Varsity Band Spring Concert
Thursday, April 19-Saturday, April 21
Time: 7:30-10:30 p.m. each night
Where: Kohl Center
This year’s UW Varsity Ban Concert, “The Championship Season”, will salute the 70’s with special guest, star of Broadway and “The Dukes of Hazzard”, Tom Wopat. This isn’t any normal band concert; the show features pyrotechnics, multi-media displays and aerial stunts.

Isthmus Green Day
Saturday, April 21
Time: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: Monona Terrace
The fifth annual earth-friendly expo features New York Time columnist and author, Mark Bittman. The event will educate people how to make easy changes to help keep the Earth beautiful and clean for future generations.

Dane County Farmers’ Market
April 21 – November 10
Time: 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. Recurring weekly on Saturday

The Dane County Famers’ Market is back on the Square! You can find the season’s best vegetables, flowers and other items from about 300 vendors throughout the year!
