Bar Review: Karaoke Kid

Sake Bomb

Where in Madison can you sing 90’s classics like “I Want It That Way” and be the coolest person in the bar? The Karaoke Kid. The bar is a family-owned favorite among the Madison community and is a great place to go with a big group of friends. The cost to sing is $1 per song and customers are known to throw in a little extra to get their songs moved up on the list, as the Karaoke Kid gets crowded pretty quickly. On the weekends, it’s best to get there early and dedicate the night to singing your heart out. However, weekdays are less crowded and guarantee a few turns onstage in the spotlight. Unfortunately, the Karaoke Kid does not have any specials, and their drinks are a bit pricey. But a night at the Karaoke Kid is not complete unless you’ve made sure to indulge in a sake bomb or two, and if sake isn’t your thing, the key lime pie shots are even better.
