In the fashion world, the phrases “bananas” and “I die” can only be attributed to one style icon: Rachel Zoe. The celebrity stylist first emerged in the public’s conscious with the debut of her show, The Rachel Zoe Project, on Bravo in early 2008, where viewers fell in love with her animation and personality. After allowing cameras to follow her in a life revolving around fashion, Zoe’s popularity exploded. Audiences instantly fell in love with her personal style, a distinctive mix straying towards vintage clothing and over accessorizing. Aside from her eponymous line, which launched in 2011 and is sold on QVC, she recently revealed The Zoe Report, a daily bulletin displaying her current fixations in all things fashion, beauty and lifestyle. Even after having a baby with husband Rodger Berman, Rachel Zoe plans for her empire to continue growth!
Although she is known for her own style, Zoe’s real distinction lies in her career as a stylist. When Zoe styles a celebrity for the red carpet they are always noticed.
Going for a fun and easygoing look, Rachel dressed actress Cameron Diaz in Chanel Haute Couture for the 2009 Golden Globes. The youthful dress had photographers going crazy. What many don’t know is that when the dress originally hit the runway it had an additional sleeve – yet, at the request of Zoe, Karl Lagerfeld agreed to edit the gown just for the occasion!
With most of her winning looks full of color, Zoe surprised in 2009 when she placed actress Eva Mendes on the red carpet in white. Yet of course, the stylist made the Christian Dior Couture gown stunning by topping the off the number with a Van Cleef and Arpels turquoise collar, which made the look an instant hit.
Rachel Zoe is the definition of a style icon, as she walks into a closet with a fearless attitude. Whether it be a pop or color, head to toe sequins, or controversial fur there’s no question that Zoe will make it stunning.
