At only 15 years old, Chlöe Grace Moretz has already made her mark on Hollywood with her quirky appeal and adorably loveable sense of fashion. You might recognize her as the supportive younger sister from 500 Days of Summer, or as the young lady from the action film Kick Ass, but most likely from her lead role in the Academy Award nominated film, Hugo. Even though the film did not win the award for Best Picture, Moretz became the topic of many conversations due to her presence as such a powerful young new starlet. As she gained more attention in Hollywood, Moretz was featured as the cover girl of Seventeen Magazine this past May. Even though she may still be new to the red carpet treatment, there is no denying that she’s already made a remarkable impression in the fashion world.
In her breakthrough role in Hugo, Moretz captivated audiences as she portrayed a young French girl living in the 1930’s with an extraordinary sense of fashion. Her character brought back the gamine style popularized by icons such as Audrey Hepburn and Jean Seberg. The movie’s memorable berets, thick trench coats and short yet feminine hair styling have all been spotted in recent fall and winter trends since the release of the film.
Off set, Moretz exhibits a carefree yet very classy style in both every day and red carpet fashion. Though she is just a young teen, she exhibits the same chic style choices as Dakota Fanning’s younger sister Elle Fanning. Moretz’s hair is also well known as her signifying feature. From long dirty blonde curls, to pin straight long hair, to her recent trendy short, curled bob, Moretz continues to inspire young girls everywhere that you don’t have to jeopardize your dignity for a little change in style.
