After weeks of speculation, the decision was announced today that Alexander Wang would succeed Nicolas Ghesquière as the Creative Director of Balenciaga. Given the enormous success and innovative aesthetic of his eponymous label, many are curious to see where the designer will take the French brand. Some are predicting that Wang will bring Balenciaga to a more enforced idea of American sportswear. Regardless, considering that Wang is still not yet 30, he is taking on quite the task, though with his influence the label may widen its horizon of clientele.

Throwing a grand fete to celebrate the occasion this past week, the wedding dress designer drew big names to her new brownstone. Gaining popularity through all things bridal, such as “Say Yes to the Dress,” this step has been a long time coming for Lhuillier.

The stylish sports event took place in honor of Middleton unveiling a new playing field at her alma mater, St. Andrews.
Levi’s Vintage Clothing has unveiled their very own salute to the American biker. Twenty-one painted leather jackets were unveiled in a salute to the documentary The Bikeriders. Each jacket was hand painted by thirteen different artists. The display will be shown in New York this next weekend before it moves to Tokyo.
