During these rather chilly and windy February weeks in Madison, it’s necessary to bundle up in layers. Unfortunately, “layers” can quickly translate to “excess bulk,” and as such it’s great to look to design collections for inspiration on how to avoid this constraining symptom. In J.Lindeberg’s recent Fall 2013 Ready-To-Wear debut, layering became fashionable, without all the unnecessary bulk. The collection featured a casual yet cool menswear theme, compiled of neutrals and unexpected pops of bright color.
Whether now, next fall, next winter, or years from now, this look is timeless and easily attainable. The contrast of the ribbed scarf and turtleneck with the crisp suit pants and leather dress shoes makes for a look that can be worn on any occasion. The classic brown pea coat is the quintessential piece in any respectable man’s wardrobe.
