Street Smart: Simplicity and Smiles

As we near the end of the year, each day is a day closer to summer. But each day is also a day closer to finals. I’m not going to lie – thinking about the amount of reading, papers and projects I need to complete in the next month sent me straight into panic mode as I walked back from class this morning.

As I created a mental list in attempt to collect my thoughts, I passed the perpetually smiling Miss Audrey Ackley on the steps of Vilas by East Campus Mall, like I do every Monday and Wednesday. I honestly don’t think there’s been a day this semester that she hasn’t beamed with a genuine grin. And after I passed her, I realized what they say is true: a smile is a girl’s best accessory.

Of course Audrey’s outfit is adorable, embodying spring with the pale color palette of her shirts, classic ankle skinnies, teal studs and the essential Sperrys. The outfit’s simplicity is purely refreshing and relaxed. But, what really made Audrey’s outfit catch my attention was that little accessory that doesn’t cost a thing. So smile, ladies and gentlemen, and I promise you’ll always look your best.

Here’s the breakdown:
