DIY: Graduation (Friends Forever)
It’s that time again:
As I alluded to in my last DIY, my time here at UW is coming to a close in the next few weeks. I’ve spent a great deal of time reflecting on my last 4 years and, while the departure is bittersweet at best, it’s great for DIY inspiration. As such, I am dedicating my last MODA DIY to the great university that made it all possible.
If you’re also graduating this spring, good luck! Use these DIY ideas as a token of your UW pride, to spruce up your graduation outfit, or just to show off how much you’ve learned in college (crafts, yay!).
If you’re not graduating quite yet, first of all: enjoy the rest of your time here. I probably don’t need to remind you that it will go by faster than you think. You can still use these ideas to sport your Badger pride at football games, parties, or elsewhere.
–The Hair Bow: Pick up some red and white ribbon and make this cute hair bow in a matter of minutes. Keep it simple with solid colors or get creative with patterns.
–Crepe Paper Hair Flowers: Super cute for spring and probably a cheaper alternative to the hair bow. You could make a bunch of these for you and your friends from one roll of red streamers!
–Colored Soles: A great way to spruce up some old heels or personalize new ones! Paint your soles red and pair with red nail polish for a splash of Badger pride.
–Vintage Buttons Necklace: This is a great DIY for any occasion, but add some red buttons and you’ve got an adorable graduation necklace! You could even paint them yourself using red nail polish.
Last but not least:
–Wisconsin Pride: Immortalize your memories with this super easy and fun wall art. Of course, you’ll use the state of Wisconsin as your outline. I made one last summer—it’s easy and looks great!
