MODA How To: Dress for Revelry
by Marlee Katz, Fashion Writer
Although the two weekends of Coachella have come and gone, we Madisonians have our own event to look forward to: Revelry Music and Arts Festival. On Saturday, May 4th, The Sett, Randall Avenue and Engineering Mall will turn into a hip music festival lover’s dream. With three stages and performances from 11 AM to 6 PM, there will be plenty of arts, entertainment and beautiful people to ogle and admire.
Thanks to rising temperatures on the radar, there is no excuse to appear less than fabulous while shakin’ your bum to UW Fashion Week’s own DJ RED SPEXX, or enjoying the New York based rapper Hoodie Allen’s rhymes.
We’re keeping this one local in putting together the best Madison-based Revelry outfits. From Shopbop to Pitaya, we’ll ensure you look music festival ready on the big day.
For those of you who plan on sitting in the grass all day sipping cold ones, keep your ensemble comfortable. Try high waist denim shorts from Shopbop with an American Apparel knit bandeau, and Pitaya’s perfect Beach Back Sweater.
At Urban Outfitters, Ecote’s chiffon high/low babydoll dress makes another adorable option. Add some arm candy and relaxed sandals and you will be sure to stand out in the crowd.
For those of you floral loving ladies, rock American Apparel’s stretch bull denim high waist shorts. Finalize the look with Pitaya’s lace back pink crop top. If you prefer a dress, you can do no wrong with Minkpink’s Bohemian mini dress.
Whether you prefer shorty-shorts or maxi dresses, there is a plethora of Madison based fashion to complete your one-of-a-kind Revelry style.
