Each morning, the clothes we choose to dress ourselves make up just one part of the image we convey to others. The other part, the one that causes heads to turn, is an aura of confidence. In this sense, style is a balancing act; representing a mixture of clothing items and personality. When embarking on my Street Smart strolls, this is what I strive to capture as a photographer and while on the hunt for a fashionable individual last Friday, I found just what I was looking for.
Meet Julia, a fun girl with a spunky personality who has an obsession with foreign fashion labels. Upon spotting her, I couldn’t help but notice that she was rocking her outfit. Mixing patterns and colors to stand out from the crowd, Julia took advantage of the warmer weather Madison experienced this past weekend, donning a striped, taupe-colored dress with a glossy red belt. Layered with a classic, plaid jacket and grey boots with stockings, Julia exuded a cozy-cool air. Adding an extra element of edge to her ensemble, Julia completed her outfit with a red, knitted beanie and a studded, black leather bag for a multi-dimensional look that helped her stand out from the crowd.
