Known for her roles in Inglorious Basterds and The Bridge, Diane Kruger’s playful and daring sense of style has proven to be quite striking and diverse. Although she often makes bold and interesting fashion statements, Diane never fails to look put together, confident and absolutely stunning.
Her style signature can be characterized by her tendency to mix menswear and women’s wear and experiment with midriff-baring lines. At Longchamp’s 60th anniversary in New York, she did incorporated both styling tendencies by pairing a straw fedora with a sailor-style crop top and black, wide-legged trousers, adding a red-orange clutch for a pop of color. Similarly, Diane sported a black, short sleeved crop top with a matching skirt and black and white Chanel peep-toe booties at a Hollywood Foreign Press event.

Prior to her acting career, Diane was a professional model, modeling in campaigns for Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Louis Vuitton. Additionally, she walked the catwalk in runway shows runway shows for Marc Jacobs and Dolce & Gabbana. Furthermore, Diane is also viewed as a muse for fashion designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, and she was the face of Calvin Klein’s fragrance campaign, Beauty, in 2010. Perhaps it was during her early modeling career with such prolific and respected designers that Diane adopted an intriguing fashion sense to develop her fascinating future style.

Undoubtedly, celebrities always strive to look their best on the red carpet and Diane flawlessly surpasses this goal every time effortlessly. Recently, Diane made a boldly beautiful statement in a red, black and white Prabal Gurung Resort 2014 dress when she attended the Metropolitan Opera’s opening season production. Exhibiting a little more flair and dimension, at the premiere of The Little Black Jacket, Diane chose a dutifully embellished yet fun Chanel LBD amplified by a thin red belt around her waist.

The shapes and details of these two red carpet dresses demonstrate Diane’s serious attitude for fashion while subtly highlighting the whimsicality of her personal style. Even when she experiments with a bold fashion dare, the actress always exudes an air of elegance and executes her look with confidence and beauty. Overall, her fashion choices perpetually take us aback not just because they are out of the ordinary, but because Diane possesses the innate ability to seamlessly weave the most complex fashions into a personal style that translates as her own.
