DIY Pinspo: Washi Tape Headboard
Recently, I’ve been doing some spring cleaning in my room, and I felt like I needed to add a little more color. With the end of the school year approaching, I didn’t want to spend too much time on décor that would be taken down in a little over a month. So, instead, I opted for something quick and easily removable. This washi tape headboard gives a little flair to the average bed. Washi tape can be bought online in just about any color or pattern. If you don’t want to pay for shipping, Anthology, an amazing craft store on State Street sells a wide variety of colors and styles. This quick, little craft is the perfect study break and will brighten your room instantly.
Materials & Tools:
- Washi tape
- First, decide what type of shape you want your headboard to be. Keep in mind that straight lines are the easiest and curved lines are possible but take more time and strategy. Also, make sure the surface of the wall you will be working on is clean so the tape will adhere properly.
- Start with the sides of your headboard, making sure they are even and parallel.
- Next, work your way towards the center from both sides, keeping your design symmetrical. Experiment with the different lines or shapes you can create or maybe add in other colors. Enjoy!
The best part about this craft is that the washi tape is moveable so if you don’t like how one design turned out, just try it out again. At the end of the end of the year, the gentle washi tape will peel off perfectly!
