High-End Retailers Increasing Outlet Stores

Frugal fashionistas rejoice! High-end retailers like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue are opening more outlet stores in metropolitan locations. Nordstrom plans to open 27 new Nordstrom Rack stores within the next year, Saks Fifth Avenue will opening an Off Fifth close to its Manhattan flagship store in 2016, and Neiman Marcus will open up Last Calls in New Orleans, Dallas and Houston. While some people question whether this is a smart decision for these companies, college students and bargain hunters everywhere can hardly complain about the expansions.

Beyonce Collaborates with Spring

Calling all Beyonce fans! Lady B recently collaborated with the brand new shopping app, Spring, to create the first celebrity store on the exciting tech platform. The small collection includes a “Flawless” t-shirt, “Cake by the Pound” sweatshirt, and a beanie. Though variety is limited, we think this is just the beginning for this shopping app, and we look forward to seeing more collaborations like this in the future.

The Apple Watch Gets its First Cover

If you had any doubt that the Apple Watch is going to be the next big thing, Vogue China confirmed this notion by featuring the accessory on the cover of its November issue. Editor-in-Chief of Vogue China, Angelica Chung, thought that some of the watches were “sporty” while other versions of it were “very classic and sophisticated.” This style versatility coupled with the watches myriad useful daily-life functions, the new Apple accessory combines technology, style and functionality to create the ideal add-on for a modern-day woman’s ensemble. Undoubtedly, the watch will appear in many other places before and after its release, and we personally cannot wait to see where it will pop up next.
