Fashion News Recap: SJP Dresses, The Weeknd x Puma, and #WANGSQUAD
CARRIE HAS MOVED BEYOND SHOES
Among the crazy swirling rumors about a possible return of Sex and the City to either the television or silver screen, Sarah Jessica Parker topped it off with another big announcement. She announced via her Instagram that she creating a collection of apparel designed entirely by her, which will be comprised of different styles of every girl’s favorite staple—the little black dress. It will be called SJP LBD and sold exclusively at Bloomingdale’s starting this month. All of her designs will be made in the USA. The first dress of the collection will be a very Carrie Bradshaw-inspired number that even features a tulle skirt.
THE WEEKND WEAR
The Weeknd is starting off fresh with freshly chopped locks and a new brand partnership. He will be joining the ranks of Rihanna, Kylie Jenner and Cara Delevingne with his latest project as a global brand ambassador and creative collaborator for the Puma brand. The singer’s street style functioned as inspiration for Puma’s “Run the Streets” campaign kicking off in November. Additionally, The Weeknd will be designing a collection of sneakers and apparel to be released in 2017.

Squad goals has hit a new level this past month. The fall 2016 list of #WANGSQUAD members was released a few weeks back and the teaser trailers and images are being added every day. The Instagram campaign featured members such as Kylie Jenner, Tyga, Skrillex and Zoë Kravitz. The campaign’s music was created by Skrillex especially for Alexander Wang. The teaser videos feature a Los Angeles mansion party that is ever so cool and edgy as Alexander Wang always is.
