Whose street style was the most talked about after New York Fashion Week? Names like Anna Dello Russo and Leandra Medine may immediately come to mind, but such was not the case.  In fact, the individual we’re referring to is fresh on the style scene. She’s hip and edgy, but most notably, she’s young. Like sipping out of a juice box and having lunch dates on the playground kind of young. She’s four, she’s fabulous and her name is Aila Wang – the niece of Alexander Wang.

The tiny tot started getting buzz when she attended her uncle’s fashion show in September of 2012 wearing a chic, all-black ensemble and sporting her very own tot-sized Rocco bag.  When she was seen later that week wearing a fur jacket nearly as large as her, it was clear that this girl was giving fellow child fashion icons, like Suri Cruise, a run for their money.

Aila’s style is very reflective of her uncle’s on-trend, downtown-cool style. Clearly past the embarrassing glittery pink princess stage of toddler life, leather and black pieces seem to be a common theme in her wardrobe. Needless to say, the fashion gene definitely runs in the family. Uncle Alexander has even commented that he would love for her to be involved in his brand one day, demonstrating that she can keep up with even the finest of the fashion world.

Yet what is perhaps most notable about Aila is not her undeniable potential, but rather the amount of buzz she has been creating throughout the fashion realm.  People don't just find her adorable and charming, they see her as exciting and inspiring. Of course her designer wardrobe and personal handbag collection are enviable as well, but her individuality and effortless, cool-girl style are what give her icon status. Thus she may have yet to grace the inside of a Kindergarten classroom, but in terms of fashion she is wise beyond her years, making her a style icon that is not only someone to follow, but someone to watch out for.
