Dear Reader,
With October coming to a close, Moda is excited to share all of the hard work done by its members and to provide a glimpse for what’s to come in November.
From the Homecoming parade to the monthly online issue “Trance,” Moda remained busy for the last few weeks of October. Members of Moda Editorial Board and Full Staff marched in the annual Homecoming Parade on Friday, Oct. 21. Members had the opportunity to meet one another and marched proudly, holding up posters of past Moda issues.
“Trance,” the monthly online issue, dropped yesterday on Oct. 31. Editor in Chief Mason Braasch described the issue as “futuristic yet mystical,” as writers explored what trance means from different levels. Sydney Collins, Contributing Writer, writes about social media’s dissociative trance in her piece “Deliberately Designed for Disconnection.” Sophie Corsaro, Contributing Writer, discusses the differences between vanity and self-confidence and the impact of both in her piece “The Fine Line Between Vanity and Self-Confidence.”
Along with the amazing written, illustrated and designed pieces by contributors and staff, “Trance” was able to come to life with the shoot “Delirium,” directed by Erin Galioto, Fashion Editorial Director. This shoot portrays what a trance can look like through style, shape and color from a variety of looks.
