Known as the socialite and “it girl” of New York City, Olivia Palermo, can always be spotted in the front row of fashion week donning the latest fashion trends. Most recently, she was seen at New York Fashion Week attending Rebecca Minkoff’s spring 2014 show rocking the classic black and white look that has been seen everywhere both on and off the runway. A huge fan of mixing high and low designers, Olivia’s look possesses certain cool-girl effortlessness as it incorporates a combination of uptown and downtown styles with her signature accessories always topping off her ensemble. By combining pieces that are available at different price ranges, this style icon demonstrates that having genuine, enviable style does not necessarily mean that you have to splurge. Starring in the show The City in 2009, Olivia’s glamorous professional life working for Diane von Furstenberg and ELLE Magazine was publicized to the world, causing her “it girl” status to skyrocket. From there, she signed a contract to model for the world-renowned modeling agency, Wilhelmina Models. Later she was featured on the covers of ELLE, Marie Claire, and ASOS Magazine. Currently, Olivia keeps herself busy as the face of Oscar de la Renta and opts to blog in her spare time about fashion, lifestyle, and beauty topics.
